Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into cohesive and engaging documentary narratives.
- Work with directors and producers to understand story goals and creative direction.
- Maintain and organize video files, ensuring all footage is accessible and well-archived.
- Implement feedback and revisions, ensuring the final product meets the highest storytelling standards.
- Collaborate with the sound, design, and motion graphics teams to enhance the storytelling.
- Stay current with editing trends, techniques, and documentary styles.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4+ years of experience in video editing, with a focus on documentary storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other relevant editing software.
- Strong storytelling abilities, with a deep understanding of pacing, narrative structure, and emotional engagement.
- Experience with color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a creative team.
- A degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to Have
- Experience working on international documentary projects.
- Knowledge of After Effects and other motion graphics tools.
- Passion for social issues, human interest stories, or cultural exploration.
